Wife of Erappa, the previous years' National Awards winner, Savithri was trained in rabbit-rearing, Agriculture and Mushroom cultivation. With this training, she started her own units to find a means of self-subsistence and assistance to others. Erappa and Savithri's interest in educating their own children is a great example. Savithri has a Government job as well, and is living a happily-married life with Erappa.
