Father George Kannanthanam

25 years ago, the people who conceived our society for the Leprosy affected persons named it "Sumanahalli" Which means "Village of people of good heart" We now celebrate our "becoming a village of people of good hearts"

We had our moments of joy and sorrow Some struggles and anxieties Yet now we delight at what we are

Today, we are a society with four clinics. A hundred-bed rehabilitation centre. An ongoing survey that has covered one-fourth of Bangalore. For our people we have nine vocational training programmes. Educational programmes and adult literacy courses. A service that reached 3.3 million in South India. 11 National awards and 6 state awards.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude to God. And His human instruments. Who walked with us, Ahead and behind us, With appreciation and support. Thanks!

The Journey continues. Let's all move ahead. To make life a little better for the leprosy affected.
